Alcudia de Veo is a small municipality in the heart of the Sierra Espadán Natural Park and at the foot of Pico Espadán, between forests and springs in the province of Castellón. An idyllic place for hiking and mountain gastronomy lovers: hearty dishes based on natural products, where meats are especially relevant. Located in the mountains at an altitude of 465 m above sea level, the main heights are: Espadán (1099 m), Organs of Benitandús (724 m), Casalet (755 m) and Rápita (1103 m). The River Sonella or Veo crosses the Term, above which is the Onda or Benitandús reservoir, built in 1953 by the Júcar Hydrographic Confederation at the request of the Onda Irrigators Community. This reservoir allows irrigation of this municipal term, through a 6 km long channel that carries water from the reservoir to the pre-existing irrigation ditches. Several ravines mark the term; the most important ones are Aín, Villastre, and Xelva.
